Celebrating international women everywhere!

It’s International Women's Day (IWD) and I’ve been working with Women in Public Life Guernsey to promote this fantastic day. Read on to see what we’ve been doing as well as the challenge that Pilates Core Club invites you to and a special free class we’re putting on to celebrate.

The international island of Guernsey celebrates IWD

Guernsey is the home of people from over 70 nationalities and so we’ve filled a map of the island with flags by asking residents of different nationalities to nominate an iconic woman of their country. You can check out the interactive map (as pictured) here.

Pilates Core Club celebrates a week of online Pilates

The theme of this year’s IWD is #ChooseToChallenge, and that is just what this week’s Pilates Core Club online sessions intend to do – challenge you all to come together and be united in movement.

In addition to our week of online Zoom Pilates we are also hosting a very special Free 30 min Facebook Live event on Thursday 11th March at 6pm (GMT) – please spread the word and share so anyone and everyone can join in.

You can book the sessions here https://www.pilatescoreclub.com/book-a-class

The IWD campaign with Women in Public Life

I’ve really enjoyed organising and promoting this fantastic initiative. It’s been great fun meeting so many people and hearing who inspired them and I have also enjoyed doing various press and media interviews with some lovely reporters, journalists and show hosts.

Thank you to BBC Radio Guernsey and Claire Cathcart for inviting me on to the mid-morning show. I’m looking forward to the ITV interview tomorrow evening (9th March), Guernsey Press (pictured to the left!), and Channel Eye, among others, for featuring the campaign and hearing our stories.
